Babak Ganjei and Arthur Woodstock in Dalston, E London
On a drizzling rainy day in Dalston I meet comic book artist Babak Ganjei at home with his 4-year-old son, Arthur Woodstock.
Babak sat at a desk surrounded by inflatable palm trees as he drew for his latest book whilst Arthur waited for a dinosaur movie to come on TV.
Babak, what’s your preferred way to draw? “It can be the radio or the tv, but there has to be some outside company of some sort; these days Cbeebies is the primary source. I’ve got a desk and I try to be an adult about it but I still seem at my most productive lying on the floor with my ass in the air. Just as I did as a child,” he says.
