Southend-on-Sea, E Essex   On a typical autumnal day we found ourselves walking along Southend Pier, disappearing into the fog that covered the sea that day. At the end of the world’s longest pleasure Pier we met an old man crab fishing who showed us how to reel them in on a withered piece of rope. After feeding most of our money into the 2p machines at the arcades we visited another Southend staple – Rossi Ice Cream.
